Developed over decades by New Zealand specialist avocado growers David and Judi Grey the Avogrey® Greenskins are superior in nearly every way.
You can tell when I’m ripe if I have a slight give near the stem (don’t press too hard).
Another tip is to gently flick the stem; if it doesn’t come off, try again the next day, then if you slip a toothpick under my stem, and it slides in easily towards my stone, I’m ready to go.
The best way to store me is in a bowl on the bench, but I’m not keen on direct sunlight.
If you pop me in the fridge when I’m ripe, I can last a few weeks (my skin may darken, but my inside will be perfect).
