Ingredients:- Capsicum frutescens, is the name given to this group of chillies that are a relative of the tabasco chillie, and contain 175,000 SHU (Scoville Heat Units). All chillies contain Capsaicin, - a potent compound that gives some chillies their fiery nature. Most of the capsaicin (up to 80 percent) is found in the seeds and membranes of a chillie. Removing a chillie's seeds and veins is the only way to reduce its heat.
The caustic oils found in chillies cause an intense burning sensation, which can severely irritate skin and eyes. (Wash hands after handling, or wear gloves). They're a rich source of vitamins A and C, and a good source of folic acid, potassium and vitamin E.
