Ingredients:- Chillies - Whole - Birdseye. These “Birdseye” chillies Capsicum frutescens, are a relative of the tabasco chile, and contain 175,000 SHU (Scoville Heat Units). All chillies contain Capsaicin, - a potent compound that gives some chillies their fiery nature. Most of the capsaicin (up to 80 percent) is found in the seeds and membranes of a chile. Removing a chile's seeds and veins is the only way to reduce its heat.
The caustic oils found in chiles cause an intense burning sensation, which can severely irritate skin and eyes. (Wash hands after handling, or wear gloves). They are a rich source of vitamins A and C, and a source of folic acid, potassium and vitamin E.
